The radio sits in an angled tray and is secured in place by the Talentcell 3000ma which slides into it's own carrier, and that carrier slides onto the back behind the radio to secure the radio in place. The Talentcell carrier has an open side to see the lights on the battery as well. The optional front cover locks in over the BNC connector and has cutouts on the sides to keep access to the power connector, as I keep my power cord connected between the two even in my bag (I store it BNC-side down, since it's well protected). The optional cover can also serve as a bit of a sun shield over the top of the screen.
It's quick and easy to separate, but the weight of the Talentcell on the back is the counterweight to the radio to keep it angled so I usually just keep it all together when I stick it on the shelf to charge (because yes...a time or two I have forgotten to bring the battery with me to the field 🙄)
Options for the wedge & Talentcell 3000ma carrier only, or add a cover to complete the setup (blank top, "FX-4CR" printed top or personalize with your callsign!)
