This is a 1950s cake holder/carrier with a white background with a pretty bright red, yellow and blue flowers center motif on 3 sides.. It has a silver handle on the lid. The top fits over the center portion of the metal yellow plate with 3 metal clasp hooks.

Item is in fair usable condition with some scratches and discoloration on inside and bottom of plate.
