Designed and made in-house right here in North Carolina, the cover features a snug friction fit around the feet and top, and hard stops at the feet of swiveling stand underneath the radio to leave a protective gap inside to the face of the radio. Perfect for protecting your radio's front out in the field!
Made with robust PETG plastic which provides some flexibility, good impact resistance and heat tolerance, keeping your FT-891 safe even when storing it face-first in your bag (which I do every time I take it to activate a park). Side cutouts match with the microphone cable and faceplate switch to make it easy to slide into place keeping the mic plugged in, and if your FT-891 is mounted in the car with the mobile mount it works great as a front cover even in the heat of summer to keep a low visible profile. This cover is approximately 3 5/8" deep.

Please note if you have side rails installed, the sides of the cover are 2mm thick so you'll want around 3-4mm clearance on each side for the cover to easily slide in. Please check the pictures for how far back the clearance needs to be on the sides, or message us and we'll be happy to look at what you have before you order.
