For sale is a genuine example of the British Army 1876 Pattern socket bayonet & scabbard for use with the .577/450 caliber Martini-Henry rifle.
The bayonet features excellent blued socket, with working lock, with very good condition 55cm long blade, War Department arrow stamped, with June 1888 issue (6/88) & service stampings etc. Blade slides in and out of the brown leather & brass scabbard with no issues, retaining issue stamps to brass furniture. The scabbard and bayonet are original made/issued set and measure 65cm long.
