This very high powered heavy duty Jim Lansing medium frequency woofer makes an excellent bass speaker for musical instrument or high fidelity PA applications. This model is the precursor to the D series and we are not sure when it was made but we are thinking 50’s or 60’s. With the high impedence of 32 ohms it can be hooked up in a cabinet with multiple drivers to a crossover network or with another compatible driver or two to lower the ohms. This speaker is lightly used and has no coil rub or rips in the cones.
This speaker is designed to handle high power amplifiers and produce clean sound without breaking up or producing distortion which makes it excellent for bass or vocal reproduction, much less clear and clean sound for guitar and keyboards. The speaker is also extremely efficient and requires very little power to operate. The SPL ( Sound Pressure Level) of the speaker is much greater than conventional speakers due to it’s very high power magnet structure and heat resistant edge- wound voice coil.
We use a Klein multimeter to show conductance on the voice coil integrity.
