The St. Joseph Belt Railway Company (SJB) was a switching railroad in St. Joseph, Missouri formed in 1908. It was owned by the Missouri Pacific Railroad and gradually was incorporated into that company.
For auction are 2 "car weight" documents from the SJB dated October 1925. Each presents the weight of a freight car in route to the St. Joseph Stock Yards. Each document measures appx 4 1/4 x 4 1/4 and is printed on thin paper and is in fair condition. All writing/markings are from their preparation. Each has a punch hole where filed on a needle file. One is missing the lower right corner, and both have small center tears.
