Photographer: Paul Heismann (1912-?) Title: Untitled Study Date: c1930-40s Medium: Gelatin Silver Print Size of Image: 11 x 7 inches Size of Mount: na Condition: Rich tonal image, sharp and clean. Other: Paul Heismann was active in 1940’s (possibly longer…I only found one reference to a death date of 1957 but most notations do not show a date). Known for his Surrealist nudes and still-life images, this darkly quiet, graphic image stands out in the works I’ve seen. His name is stamped on the verso along with his initials in pencil.
