Aqua over gold  crystalline vase from the Bat Trang Pottery Village in Vietnam. The crystalline finish is in a type of "wrap" around the side of the vase, being a darker aqua colored crystals in the front area, and fading to white crystals over gold. (Our closeup 3rd photo shows this transition from the blue crystals to the white.) The vase also has a an approximately 2" wide area at the back with no crystalline finish, just the white under glaze. This section has an area 2"w x 1" t with a glazing skip.

In the blue area of the vase, the crystals are thick and heave a nice texture that rises slightly above the flat base glaze.
