This is a vintage -1960'/1970's metronome. The logo at the bottom of the needle matches with "System Maelzel" from Germany (GDR). It has a wooden veneer case, metal hardware and features a wind-up mechanism on the right side. I've wound it up and it is in good working order. The tempo goes from 40 beats/minute-"Grave" to 208 beats/minute-"Prestissimo". It stands 9" tall and is 4 1/2" wide. The front cover is missing as is the bottom cover, which does not affect its ability to perform. The needle can be tucked away under the front metal piece. Thanks for looking!
