BASIC INFORMATION
This
is an unpainted, resin 3D printed figure/statue/garage kit/model
kit/etc. Resin 3D prints are far smoother and higher detail than
traditional printers (FDM), allowing for near perfect prints right off
the printer.
I
have years of experience printing and painting, utilizing a high end 3D
printer. You can find my YOUTUBE channel @AsimPaints. You will not find
better quality 3D prints elsewhere!
Why? Well here's my process:
1. I purchase all the fan-made models you see directly from the artists who made them.
2.
Using a slicer program (Chitubox) I MANUALLY add supports to every
single piece printed. Others often click a button to automatically
generate supports, which is far inferior. Manually supporting is a
tedious process that takes hours, but it ensures maximum quality and
minimal clean-up prior to painting. I'm basically an expert at supports
at this point.

I 3D print the files using a very high quality printer and resin. The
parts go through a three step cleaning process to ensure you will NEVER
receive a print with residual uncured resin (which is toxic if not
cured). Three ultrasonic cleaners with various liquids ensure the
exterior AND interior are 100% clean.
4.
The prints are then cured while submerged in hot water for 20 minutes
or more, surrounded by UV LEDs. Curing while hot has been scientifically
proven to make the resin harder, a step many do not take.
5.
Everything is thoroughly dried before each piece being individually
wrapped and packaged safely in a box full of packing peanuts.

Note:

Majority of pieces will be hollow, depending on size. Thickness of the
print depends on the size, with larger pieces being thicker to ensure
maximum rigidity. Very large pieces will also be printed with an
internal grid structure.

Some sanding may be required. A minor level of "voxels" may appear in
certain areas. These are similar to layer lines. Support marks in need
of filling/sanding will vary depending on the piece. Minor fitment
adjustments may be needed. All of this is also dependent on you, how
"perfect" you want the pieces to be prior to painting.
- Resin dust is toxic to inhale. Use a dust mask or respirator when sanding.

I try to concentrate all supports in areas that do not need addressing,
such as between joints, but in some instances support marks on the
surface are unavoidable. The same applies to drain holes, small holes
made in the print to allow cleaning the interior of the print.

Resin is relatively brittle and has little capacity to bend. Very thin
areas, such as a small sword or strain of hair, have a high chance of
snapping if too much pressure is applied. For certain designs, I will
print them using a nylon-like resin that allows for more bendability.
- Effect parts, such as energy effects or fire, will be printed in clear resin.

The figure shown will be disassembled into multiple parts (head, torso,
limbs, etc.) but is designed to be easily assembled and glued together
once painted.
- The color of resin may vary but almost always will be gray. Again, these are unpainted.
- Scale and height are both approximations.

Because these are 3D printed to order, refunds are not accepted. If
there are any problems with your order, please reach out. Minor damage
to fragile pieces during shipping may occur.
