Lledo was a British manufacturing company founded in 1982 by Matchbox co-founder Jack Odell (Lledo being Odell spelt backwards) and Burt Russell, off the back of the bankruptcy of Lesney Products (Matchbox Toys Ltd) in 1982. Originally based in Enfield, Essex, the factory produced mainly diecast scale model commercial vehicles as well as cars, from 1983-1999. After then the company unfortunately went into bankruptcy

The first series of ‘Days Gone’ models included re-makes of some of the most popular and respected first, and second generation ‘Matchbox Models of Yesteryear’. This led on to collaborations with well established companies, producing models for promotions, product launches, conference gifts and the like, which followed on to marketing towards the toy trade and collectors market. Consequently as their popularity grew with both audiences, more models were introduced year on year and there were no fewer than 57 model types by the end of 1992

In 1999 Corgi purchased certain assets from Lledo PLC, including the rights to the brand name ‘Lledo’. ‘Days Gone’ and ‘Vanguards’ models were sold by Corgi under the Lledo moniker until 2004. After then the Lledo name was dropped, and the models officially became part of the ‘Corgi Classics’ line. Corgi continued producing the range of models in China
