A later Sega Saturn with a lower price and redesigned main unit. The package model number is HST-0014 and the main unit model number is HST-3220.
In March 1996, Sega announced at a strategy presentation that the price of 20,000 yen had been achieved by reducing costs through mass production and simplifying the internal circuitry. The compensation period was extended from 6 to 12 months, and the gray color was changed to white.
In fact, however, the initial HST-3220 had almost the same internal structure as the HST-3210, and the manufacturing cost reduction was a follow-up to the HST-3210. In addition, due to the change in internal structure, later production units lost compatibility with some software.
