Up for bid is a fine French 950 silver spoon with an elaborated applied crowned crest, marked G&C.  The piece is 6 3/8 inches long and weighs 33 grams.  It has a teardrop bowl and a rounded upturned handle.  It has an applied monogram of a crown over two shields, with a “MODERATA DURANT” mono in a banner.  It bears a maker’s mark of “G&C” over a heart(?) in a diamond lozenge and a French 1st Standard mark inside the bowl as shown.

Condition on the spoon is good.  There is just normal wear.  A fine piece of French silver!
