The icon of St. Sergius of Radonezh Handmade.
The basis of the icon is a wooden board. Linen canvas is glued to the board and gesso is applied.
The image of the icon is applied to the gesso in a special way. On the reverse side, the board is fastened with wooden planks `dowels` to avoid warping and cracking of the wooden base of the icon.
Loss of the paint layer, cracking of the gesso, aging of the wood.
The size of the icon is 21 * 17 cm.

The icon of St. Sergius of Radonezh is considered one of the main shrines in Orthodoxy. Even during his earthly life, this saint was a true Christian who led a humble life. He was hardworking, faithful and merciful. It was because of this that he earned the respect of the church and the love of the people.

October 8 (September 25, old style) - the day of death
July 18 (July 5) - the day of the discovery of the relics of the Saint
June 5 (May 23) - the day in honor of the Rostov-Yaroslavl Cathedral
July 19 (July 6) - the day in honor of the Radonezh Cathedral.
