Description

For your consideration I am offering a series of my hand- painted & illustrated caricatures of  sports immortals. Each creation is unique as I airbrush and paint the subject direcrtly on authentic period letterhead of the team the player best represents. Such is the case of my creation of Jackie Robinson wearing his home flannel uniform on original Ebbets Field Brooklyn Dodgers team letterhead. I was honored to meet Jackie in 1972 at age 11 before game two of the World Series at Riverfront Stadium.

I personally framed & matted this artwork using finest archival materials completely acid-free.  This particular caricature of number
42 took me roughly five days to complete using airbrush, oils and watercolor.

The frame measures 15 x 19  inches while the artwork is on 8 x 10 standard period letterhead.

Abstract

My sports artwork focus on my memories as a Major League Bat Boy with the Reds & Twins while rubbing elbows with the legands of the game of both leagues. With that being stated, I respectfully offer my artwork  with an intense love for historical accuracy, while  revealing the complex characters I encounterted with a nervous, self-doubting perfectionism. My artwork has appeared in national publications, and in particular  Playboy Magazine ( Political satire) throughout the years which offered visibility. In conclusion I try to express my creations... which encompasses photography and sculpture, with a strong feeling for color and motion... but most importantly historical realism, skillful arrangement and when the brush is engaged... painting delicacy.  I would be honored & humbled to find my creations to your favor.
