Natural top grade moonstone gemstone originating from India. This weighs 2.80 CTS and has been cut and faceted into an oval shape. The measurements are approximately 12.1 x 9.4 x 3.9 mm.

Unlike more common examples of moonstone, this has been professionally cut and shows a good clarity as well. The phenomenal transparency enhances the appearance of crystalline structure, giving the stone a very "gemmy" look. The aldurescent effect is very strong in the piece, and radiates a bright blue glow within the piece, as best seen in the supplied video.

This is not flawless gemstone, as there is some natural inclusions and variations as shown in pictures. This is quite typical of moonstone in general as the stone is known for having inclusions. This is a great size for a ring but could be used in a variety of jewelry applications.
