Icon on gesso with canvas backing `The Last Supper`. 

Hand-made icon.

We used a wooden board as a base for the icon and covered it with linen canvas. We applied gesso to the canvas.

The gesso is applied in several layers with intermediate sanding. Sometimes we leave cracks and chips on it, which give the icon a special, antique charm.

The image of the icon is applied to the gesso in a special way. 

 We manage to keep the colors rich and bright, and the texture of the image is very similar to a painting.

The icon The Last Supper is made in an average size of 30*18 cm.
