Hello and welcome to my another listings. Today for your consideration is this rare book with engravings by famous artist Wenceslaus Hollar (23 July 1607 - 25 March 1677. Hollar was a prolific and accomplished Bohemian graphic artist of the 17th century. He is known to German speakers as Wenzel Hollar, and to Czech speakers as Vaclav Hollar. Born in Prague and died in London.

Engraved portrait of Hollar by Barlow, etched portrait of Holbein, 30 etched plates without borders and double page 'Procession of Death' plate by Hollar. Size approximately 7 inches by 4 1/4 inches. As found condition. Some paper discoloration and as expected. Nice binding in good condition. Handwritten English translation on top of illustrations. First reappearance in an unaltered state of Hollar's Danse Macabre plates. Hollar's plates disappeared from view from about 1680 and reappearing in 1780. Please check detailed pictures because they can describe better than I can. Fair offers will be greatly appreciated. Overall a really great book to add to your collection.
