- This 1990’s era vintage quilt has a unique, whimsical gothic aesthetic to it, with a mix of dark moody florals on a black background and contrasting shades of ivory, tonal greenery and ivy prints, flanked by small scale ditzy florals. It’s a sixteen patch design, laid out in diamonds with a bordered design. The outer edge has a sewn in binding, with a row of hand stitching in ivory thread to compliment the black background.
- What makes this special: It’s such a unique look for a cottage style quilt, as we don’t often see pieces with this color scheme that still have maintained their color. This piece is 100% handmade, one of a kind with a mix of machine and hand stitching.
- Decorating details: I have included a shot with this styled next to a Ralph Lauren Isadora Cosette pattern comforter - I have it folded over and used at the end of the bed as an accent, and it’s shown displayed with green striped Laura Ashley pillowcases, and a Chaps bed skirt. This is the perfect heirloom quilt to use complimenting your vintage RL bedding collection.
