Supporting emerging talent, Monsoon has collaborated with students from the Royal College of Art on a seriously covetable ready-to-wear collection. The designers, RCA Print and Textile Graduate, Lucy Rainbow, and Womenswear Design graduate, Rebecca Stant, teamed up with the brand to create an ethnic-inspired daywear collection using traditional Indian craft techniques. The duo endeavored to support Monsoon's sustainable approach to design, and have used natural dyes and hand-carved wooden block prints to create the range.
The 19-piece collection includes silky shell tops, pomegranate print dresses and chic tapered trousers, all in a summery palette of navy, white, red and yellow. Our must-have is the red statement jacket, which we'll be pairing with boyfriend jeans and a white tee on off-duty days, and wearing over our LBD for nighttime.
The collection also ticks off one of spring's major catwalk trends – premium bohemian. The ethic prints and colour palette nod to the boho trend but the simple sleek silhouettes keep the items looking grown-up and glamorous. From the collection:
