S/N 745486 puts this one made in the late 1960's when it was first introduced. It replaced the older Leitz black Greenough stereo microscope with widefield viewing and a range of front objectives. This kit includes all of them...2.5x, 4x, 6.3x and 10x. The full set of viewing eyepieces are also included: 6.3x, 16x, 25x and 32x. This has the telescoping vertical post and focus drive that was incorporated into the later TS model with rack and pinion objective changing features. This one has the objectives sliding into the viewing position. Greenough is known for exceptional resolution and contrast with amazing depth cues for stereoscopic observations of 3D objects.
This one includes a transmitted light base along with a wonderful Zeiss sample tilting stage (with factory case). This is great for coins or insects. We make our own version (Retro GON) made of plastic. Nice match up. A Leitz lamp bracket is included to attach LED lamps to the base if needed. We also include a clear glass stage insert as well as a white opal glass for diffuse transmitted light via the in-base tilting mirror. Dust cover (Leica) included along with copy of the instruction book showing all the various mag combos and free working distance. Great for entomology and aquatic studies.
Shipping via UPS Ground is included....Lower 48 USA only. No exports. Here is your opportunity to own a fine Leitz stereo with all of the accessories included. Later Wild (Swiss) bought out Leitz and the RS/TS was dropped in favor of the existing Wild stereo microscope line ....we have older M3, M5 and M8 models. Contact me for details.
