SWEET SUE PLAY CAST - SHOW BILL SIGNED CO-SIGNED BY: MARY TYLER MOORE, LYNN REDGRAVE - HFSID 301705
SWEET SUE PLAY CAST
The two stars of the 1987 production sign on the cover of this Playbill for a presentation at the Royale Theatre.
Show Bill signed: "Mary Tyler Moore" and "Lynn/Redgrave", 70 pages, 5½x8½. Playbill for a production of Sweet Sue at the Royale Theatre (New York), signed in red ink on the front cover. The show opened on January 8, 1987 at the Music Box Theatre (New York) and ran for 164 performances until closing on May 31, 1987 at the Royale Theatre. Dancer and stage, screen and television actress MARY TYLER MOORE, starred in two of TV's most successful comedies, The Dick Van Dyke Show (1961-1966) and The Mary Tyler Moore Show (1970-1977), winning two Emmy Awards for the former and three Emmys for the latter. Moore, who was nominated for an Academy Award as Best Actress for Ordinary People (1980), also won Tony Awards in 1980 (Whose Life Is It Anyway?; a special Tony as she was a replacement performer) and 1985, for a revival of Joe Egg, backed by her production company, MTM. Moore is a diabetic and has been active in the fight against diabetes. British stage, screen and television actress LYNN REDGRAVE (born in 1943), the daughter of acclaimed actor Michael Redgrave and sister of actor Corin Redgrave and actress Vanessa Redgrave, has been nominated for the 1966 Best Actress Academy Award for Georgy Girl (for which she won the Golden Globe) and 1998 Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Gods and Monsters. Ironically, both Lynn and Vanessa were up for the 1966 Best Actress award, losing out to Elizabeth Taylor for her performance in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? Lynn has also been nominated for two Tony Awards for Best Actress in a Play (Mrs. Warren's Profession, 1976; Shakespeare for My Father, 1993, a one-woman tribute to her father). Redgrave, who made her professional debut on the stage in 1962, appeared in her first film, Tom Jones, the following year. Her other film credits include The Happy Hooker (1975), Shine (1996), The Wild Thornberrys Movie (2002) and Kinsey (2004). Redgrave has also appeared in a long list of made-for-TV movies, has been a regular on several series, including House Calls (1979-1981), Teachers Only (1982-1983) and Chicken Soup (1989), and she has made guest appearances on several TV series and talk shows from 1967 to the present. Fine condition.
