ANTIQUE - French Silver .950 - Tastevin / Wine Tasting Cup

An excellent example of an 19th century French silver wine taster / Tastevin.

This exceptional piece has a hand spun circular bowl, the bowl with impressed spheres, with unusual cast and hand engraved curled handle and folded over rim.

Markings: Hallmarked, with the "Minerve Casquée" clear mark for 950 fineness stamped on one side and two more struck mark to the top of the  handle,and inside the handle again clearly marked .. 32 grams weight

Extensive hand engraved details and designs through out the cup and handle (including clusters of grapes)...

Size: Measures approx. 3.0" (7.5cm) in diameter, with loop 3 1/2" (8.75 cm).

Condition: Item is in fine condition commensurate with age, overall good condition, commensurate with age and use. Couple of scratch marks on the bottom  Please see the images above.
