On offer, we have an original  lithograph by Chicago artist Aaron Bohrod. "City Park, Winter" shows a solitary man walking the the snow in a park filled with monuments. The trees are slightly surrealist. This is signed in the print on the lower left and by the artist in pencil on the lower right. Bohrod also wrote the title on the back. Research tells me this was created in 1948, or earlier. This is in a very old period matte with a label "A Limited Edition Signed Original Lithograph" and the bio of Aaron Bohrod from "Associated American Artists". The matte measures 14" X 18", the paper 12" X 16" and the image is 9 1/2" X 13 1/2".
About the artist: Aaron Bohrod (1907-1992), Was "known for his unique trompe-l'oeil style, was a master at painting visual illusion.  A Magical Realist, Bohrod painted representational images with supernatural elements in a hyper realist style. (ACA Galleries)
I believe this is in excellent condition. The print is bold, clean and clear. It has toning around the edges from the matte. The matte is old, thin and useless. It has a tear at the bottom and a pin hole at the top. However, it has protected the lithograph for over 70 years and might help now with safe shipping. As I am not an expert on art, please see my photographs for more description.
This is from my friend who is moving to a much smaller home and parting with many of his treasures.
I will be happy to answer any questions and, of course, combine your shipping.
