On offer, we have 2 hand colored lithographs by Joseph Josenhans (1812-1884). These are from the Joseph Schloz book "Illustrations Of Missionary Scenes, An Offering To Youth" published 1850 in Mainz, Germany. Here, are 2 of the scenes from New Zealand.
"Tattooed Man" shows a fierce warrior holding his weapon. It is page IX.
"Maori Chief Upokia Sitting In State Surrounded By The Heads Of His Enemies" has the Chief leaning against a totem pole. It is page X.
    Both lithographs are on thick paper measuring 12 3/4" X 8 1/8"
These are in very good antique condition. The prints are bright and  bold. The paper has toned and there are some spots. Each has a dark spot, one at the top, the other at the bottom. Both have been handled and have some light wrinkles. As I am not an expert on art, please see my photographs for more description.
This is from my friend who collects everything and is starting to part with a few of his treasures. Yes, these are from a book meant for children.
I will be happy to answer any questions and, of course, combine your shipping.
