A protective flat mounted case for your starlink, great for protection against hail, rock chip etc. This is a roof mounted version of my protector design that's also listed on the store. This version is great for roofrack or direct roof Installation, or you can add some bolt-on magnet yourself and make it a magnet mount (You'll have to source the magnets yourself)
The kit comes with a frame, a protective acrylic sheet, as well as all the mounting screws required for assembly. The frame contains embedded M3 nuts for screwing on the top acrylic plate, making the bottom flush against the roof / aluminium extrusion rails.
Mounting Holes are M6 and are spaced 200mm * 240mm.
Why Acrylic sheet for the top cover instead of 3d printed plastic?
- Dielectric Constant: Acrylic has a relatively low dielectric constant, typically around 2.6 to 3.2 depending on frequency. This low permittivity means it does not significantly impede the propagation of RF signals, making it an excellent material for RF transparency.
- Moisture Resistance: Acrylic does not absorb water, which maintains its dielectric properties even in humid conditions. This is important because moisture can degrade RF transparency in other materials.

The Starlink Mini is rated for operation up to 50°C. The fully enclosed case may increase the likelihood of temporary thermal shutdown or throttling of the device.
PETG material will soften and lose structural integrity at temperatures of 85°C or higher. Darker frames will absorb heat more quickly than lighter-colored ones, potentially accelerating this process. Make sure to place the device in a well ventilated area.
During product testing, the Starlink Mini flat mount (Black in Color) was exposed to full sunlight on top of a blue colored car for two consecutive hours on a 32°C day without any notable performance issues.
