Shrink Plastic - Ink Jet (Clear & White) & Original (Clear, Matte, Sanded, White, Black, Blue, Green, Orange, Purple, Red, Yellow)

....... If you've never used this, you are in for a treat! Shrinking plastic is sold under names such as Shrinky Dinks, Shrink-it, Shrink Plastic. This is a great project for the whole family. You can cut the plastic in any shape, then paint with permanent markers, colored pencils, acrylic paint, heat-set inks or any permanent ink, and then you BAKE the plastic. It SHRINKS to 1/3 its size in diameter, but much thicker. Your painting becomes sharper, darker and just better!! Rubber stamp on it! 

The thin plastic that was able to be cut by scissors is now a thick, unbendable solid plastic item. Make big stars, decorate them with friend's names, punch a hole (before shrinking), and shrink them. They become gift tags for their presents! And afterwards, ornaments! Your family can create memories, that will last!

"Bake" over a mold and make a shape, bowls, etc. Jewelry, luggage tags, ornaments, keychains, bookmarks, magnets, picture frames, greeting cards.... the ideas are endless.... and fun! Shrink plastic comes in Clear (that shrinks clear), Matte and Sanded (that shrinks opaque), White (that shrinks white), and Black/Colors (that shrinks the color).

This is a great art project to do with elementary school children. It is a great craft to do with scouts or youth groups. Give to grandparents as a gift. In a classroom, a toaster oven works!

The Ink Jet Version has been specially coated on both sides so it will accept ink jet printing.  Remember that shrinking intensifies colors, so you might have to adjust your printing down to 'draft' to get desired results, especially if shrinking photos.  It's fun to use and the creations you can make are incredible.
