Periodically we experience problems with our scanner. Today is one of those days. Depending upon which view you choose, the first scan will show horizontal lines and/or cross hatching marks, sometimes with yellow striping. Rest assured, these are not on the cards.

TCMA "The 1960's" Card Set ~ Scarce Complete 2nd Series issued in 1981

Includes cards #294 through #482 | Much more difficult to complete than the first series issued in 1978

Features several multi-player cards & many Hall of Famers

In 1981 The Card Memorabilia Associates, Limited (TCMA) produced a Second Series of its excellent commemorative set honoring the players of the 1960's. Styled in the so-called "pure card" format the cards feature a full-color photograph without further design or identification on the front. The backs feature a brief biography of the player. Each card measures the modern standard of 2-1/2" by 3-1/2".

This is the complete second series which is MUCH scarcer than the first. Card #319 was never issued but there are two (2) cards numbered 399 - Chet Trail and Tommy Harper.

Postscript: Our last scan has nothing to do with this listing. It is a picture of all-time baseball great Ted Williams with The Baseball Hobbyist's Steve Mitchell at a 1983 Connecticut sports collectors gathering - Ted's very first-ever collector event. On the second day of the show "The Splendid Splinter" visited with collectors and dealers and graciously posed for this photo. (Photo was taken by fellow collector-dealer Bob Thing, longtime Maine hobbyist).
