■ Overview
The PD-301-X is a compact CD player equipped with a slot-in CD player, a wide FM compatible tuner, and a USB port that can play USB memory.
The heart of the CD player, the CD drive, is equipped with a slot-in CD drive mechanism that has been adopted in commercial machines. Not only can it be used as a simple, high-quality CD player, but it can also be used as a CD transport in combination with a D/A converter thanks to the digital output of one coaxial/one optical.
In addition, you can connect a USB memory to the front USB terminal to play WAV, AAC, MP3, and WMA files. The built-in FM tuner also supports wide FM (FM complementary broadcasting), which broadcasts AM radio programs on FM broadcast frequencies.

Quick loading, auto-playable slot-in CD drive mechanism
The CD drive uses a compact slot-in high-precision CD drive mechanism. The drive, designed specifically for audio and adopted in commercial products, allows for quick loading. It is equipped with an auto-play function that automatically starts playback after loading the CD, so you can enjoy music immediately by simply inserting the CD into the slot.
FM tuner compatible with wide FM (FM complementary broadcasting)
Equipped with an FM tuner compatible with wide FM (FM complementary broadcasting), which broadcasts AM radio on FM broadcasting frequencies. You can enjoy AM radio programs with clear sound quality even in places where it is difficult to hear AM broadcasts, such as buildings and apartments.
Supports playback of MP3, WMA, AAC, and WAV files written to USB memory
You can play WAV, AAC, MP3, and WMA files recorded on a USB memory. When playing MP3, WMA, and AAC, you can display the song title and artist on the unit's display. You can also play MP3 and WMA files recorded on CD-R discs.

High-precision D/A converter
The D/A converter that converts digital audio signals read from CDs and USB memory to analog is made by TI's well-established BurrBrown PCM5142 D/A converter.
Coaxial and optical digital output that can output FM broadcasts digitally
In addition to analog output, it is equipped with one coaxial and one optical digital output terminal with high versatility. By connecting to a component that can input digitally, such as the AI-301DA-Z, it can be used as a transport that sends out pure digital signals. In addition, radio audio received by the FM tuner can also be output as a digital signal.
*Digital output is output at 44.1kHz/16bit regardless of the playback format or source.
Rugged aluminum housing and compact installation area
The exterior parts are made of aluminum panels, maintaining the dignity of a traditional Hi-Fi device, while the robust housing with a full metal chassis has excellent vibration control and minimizes the impact of vibration on sound quality. The 301 series further pursues the concept of compact high-performance audio that can be placed on a desktop, which was adopted in the 501 series. The body is condensed to a width of 215mm, allowing for more flexible installation.
10-key remote control included
A thin card remote control is included. In addition, basic operations such as CD playback and skipping can be performed from the remote control of the AI-301DA-Z USB DAC amplifier, which is designed to be used in conjunction with the PD-301-X.
