It is small for a soup tureen but could be used that way, more like a covered serving dish or a covered candy dish.
It measures just under 8" at its widest by about 6.5" and 2.75" deep without the lid, with the lid it stands about 6.25" tall.
The outside is in wonderful condition but there are three chips on the inside, please see photos
