This is a charming small tobacco jar made by Doulton Lambeth probably at the end of 19th, beginning of the 20th Century so it is of some age. It is rare to find one with the lid as the lids tended to get broken or lost more easily.
It is charmingly decorated with the figures of little boys in white relief against the blue background. There is another version that was made which is the same but with little girls as decoration.
The factory marks are very clear and crisp on the base, as shown in the last photographs. It has an impressed 1881 which might be the date but I am not sure about that.
It is approximately 3.25" (8.5 cm) high and 4" (10.5 cm) wide.
Please read the condition description above and study the photographs as they form part of the description.
I have subsidised the postage costs to help with the shipping.
