Set during the time of Tipu Sultan's war with the British in India, this exciting tale follows the adventures of Dick Holland as he attempts to rescue his father who is being held captive by enemy forces.

Written by George Alfred Henty, an English novelist and war correspondent best known for his works of adventure fiction and historical fiction.

Illustrated by William Henry Margetson, a British painter and illustrator, mainly known for his aesthetic portraits of women.

CONDITION

In the original pictorial cloth binding. Externally, smart with light rubbing to the extremities and the odd small mark to the cloth. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot. Light spotting to the endpapers. Previous owner's bookplate to the front endpaper with bookseller's label to the front pastedown.
