 New chrome shift lever for the right side shifting K models and Sportster. Fits the late 1952-1970. This has no splines and requires a nonsplined transmission selector shaft. This is how the bike left the factory but check your slector shaft because many   older bikes were up dated to the splines lever which was introduced in 1971.

 

The learning curve;  Once upon a time Sportsters shifted on the right side of the bike. Because big brother wanted a sameness in all bikes sold in the USA in 1975 the Sportsters were rengineered to shift on the left.
