White Bat Flower has the largest flowers of all Taccas. Each flower is about 5-8" across and has long tendrils that hang from it. Once the plant is mature, flowers will bloom successively for months. Taccas have large, beautiful foliage and prefer to be grown in low light with good air circulation. Keep the soil moist but not soggy. There needs to be a bit of dryness to the surface between waterings but never totally dried out. Make sure the potting mix is well-drained and aerated. They can be grown successfully indoors and need conditions similar to a Phalaenopsis orchid or a Spathophyllum (Peace lily). Originating in Southeast Asia, White Bat Flower is one of the most tropical and exotic plants we grow.
!!!!Damaged leaves or small branch breakage can be a normal part of the shipping process and does not affect the health of the plant. Just trim off any damaged leaves or stems and the tree will grow new leaves. If you receive a plant that has been damaged by the shipping carrier, or arrives in poor condition, please save the packaging and contact us immediately. You must contact us within three days of the arrival of the damaged tree. We require photos of the entire plant and the container along with a photo of the box the tree was shipped in. Once we receive photos of the tree and box we will be happy to resolve your issue. Plants are living things and will need proper care and nutrients to acclimate to their new environments. Neglect or purchasing plants that are not suitable for your growing zone or soil type are not included in this guarantee.
