AUTHENTIC ANTIQUE VISIBLE GLASS MAILBOX
Presenting an exceptionally scarce and desirable antique visible glass mailbox complete with original metal lid dating to circa 1920s.
This fine example features a stylishly shaped pressed clear glass mailbox detailed with the embossed lettering "Mail" to the lower front. A drip hole opening to the base enables any condensation to exit. The original painted black metal hinged lid, with latched letter slot and cover, perfectly completes this wonderfully stylish antique mailbox.
SIZE: This impressive mailbox stands approx 260mms tall, measures 140mms in length and 100mms in width.
WEIGHT: This piece weighs 1.1kgs.
CONDITION: This fine example is presented in very good antique condition. Pleasing signs of age add a delightful charm to this authentically antique piece. There are some light and fine surface scratches and scuffs to the glass element, far less than would reasonably be expected on a piece of this nature. There are no chips or cracks and certainly nothing unsightly. There is also a shallow elongated burst air bubble to the reverse side of the glass which is in the manufacture but mentioned for complete accuracy. The original metal lid displays some rust and corrosion but remains in good stable condition. This authentic piece presents exceptionally well.
