I believe this set of three hand embroidered silk squares is from Japan and date from the early 1900's, certainly pre-WWII!! They are in EXCELLENT condition with no holes or tears!! Square number 1 with the hummingbird has a crease on the corner NOT a tear (see photo3!!)!! Square number 2 has a very light, small stain on the right edge (see photo 5) and needs to be pressed!! Square number 3 just need to be pressed!! They are approx. 6.5" square including the fringe and each has been placed in a sleeve with backing as shown in the last photo!! Please see my many other antique and art listings and email me with any questions!!
