Natural sparkling Tanzanite cabochon gemstone originating Tanzania. This weighs 7.90 CTS and has been cut into a fat pear shape. The measurements are approximately 13.8 x 10.2 x 6.8 mm.

The stone has a rich violet - blue coloring and has been polished to a glistening luster. An obvious sparking effect is viewable, along with a strong shimmer. An interesting violet flash of light is also visible within the surface. This type of violet flash is considered relatively rare and desired by collectors.  This piece has a very good amount of translucency as well, which allows a good amount of light to pass through the surface.

The gem is undamaged and shows no discernable signs of chips or cracks. There is some natural inclusions which is typical of natural Tanzanite, particularly cabochons. Flawless higher grade material is generally reserved for faceted pieces which yield higher prices.
