DESCRIPTION

The first edition of this work. A very scarce work, rarely seen in commerce but found institutionally in libraries such as the British Library, the University of Dundee, and Durham University among others. 

Defence to Primitive Truth and Order and the episcopal church in Scotland, its bishops and doctrines against an attack made by George Campbell in his 'Lectures on Ecclesiastical History' by the Rev John Skinner of Aberdeen. 





CONDITION

Rebound in half morocco over marbled boards signed Wheeler, with five raised bands, gilt lettering to spine, marbled edges. Externally with bumping and rubbing to head and tail of spine, cracking along joints, boards holding firm. Internally, firmly bound. light spotting to first and last few leaves, pages otherwise generally very clean throughout.
