This geographical work explores the environmental history of the waterways of Niger and the surrounding areas. As stated in the blurb this work 'deals with the interaction of man and water in West Africa (how people use the rivers and how the rivers affect people living by them)'.

This volume is split into three parts, these being: Part One:Environmental Change and Hydrobiology, Part Two: Human Use, Part Three: River Associated Diseases: Their Ecology and Control.

An interesting geographical work from the late 20th century.


CONDITION

In the publisher's original cloth binding, held in the original unclipped dustwrapper. Externally smart, with light shelfwear. The dustwrappper is lightly bumped to the head and tail of the spine and also the extremities. Light marks to the front and rear of the wrap. Large tear to the front of the wrap to the head, no more than 7cm. A second tear to the head of the front flyleaf joint to the head, no more than 4cm. Internally firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean.
