All 8-tracks are sold strictly as As-Is Collectors/ Display/ Novelty items with no guarantee as to how it will perform on a given machine.Be aware that different make/model players have significant variations in build quality, cleanliness and maintenance and can yield vastly different results with the same tape. Since there is no practical way for a seller to evaluate the veracity of a reported ‘problem’ (or guarantee that every tape is going to play perfectly on any 40 or 50 year old machine a buyer might choose to pop it into)—I DON’T.  Just about every 8-track tape is sold under similar terms/ restrictions. Make sure you understand and are okay with this prior to ordering
