This is an original press photo. Mary Campbell, a lawyer in the criminal division of the state public defender's office, will soon have a new job. In January, she will leave for El Salvador where she will become a "promoter of human rights" for the Lutheran church. "I figure that if I'm not going to be a public defender anymore, I think 'promoter of human rights' is a good title for the kind of work I want to do," said Campbell. "I'll be helping the church investigate allegations of human rights abuses. I feel that this is the best way to live out my Christian commitment."Photo measures 8 x 9.25inches.
