Outstanding, 18" tall, original 1934, early issue, signed head and body, composition Shirley Temple doll produced by Ideal Novelty & Toy Co. as designed by Bernard Lipfert. Wearing original, fully tagged: Genuine/Ideal Shirley Temple, (etc.) red polka-dot, organdy dress, with red satin ribbon trim ties, original one-piece, (panties with attached slip) organdy undies, original shoes and socks (showing age related wear) and original Shirley Temple pin. She has lovely hazel brown sleep eyes with perfect inset sable eyelashes as well as painted lashes and multi-stroke brows, original beautiful, curly blond wig in original soft curly set, an open mouth with row of pearly teeth, molded dimples and good coloring. She has a swivel neck and joints at her shoulders and is marked on the back of her neck: 18 over Shirley Temple Cprt. Ideal N. & T. Co. and across her shoulders: Shirley Temple (as described on pages 13-15, "Shirley Temple Dolls & Fashions"-Pardella). She is in extremely good overall condition with no cracks or damages, some normal cloudiness in her eyes, no repainting or stains and no odors as she is from a smoke free home.
