Pasco CI-6746 Economy Force Sensor 50 Newton range (S1801101-008) ScienceWorkshop
the
Economy Force Sensor Pasco CI-6746 contains a strain gauge which
generates a voltage when a force is applied to the receptacle that in
the figure has the detachable hook screwed into it. The voltage is
output to the 8-pin DIN plug which is typically connected to a Data
Acquisition Device, which in turn is connected to a PC
The voltage that is generated ranges between -8
volts and +8 volts for forces between -50 N and +50 N.
The manufacturer quotes a sensitivity of 0.03 N
Key Features:
· +/-50 N range
· Convenient
Finger GripThe Economy Force Sensor is an excellent, low-cost,
general-purpose force sensor for the student lab. The finger holes make
it ideal for hand-held use -- especially for the smaller hands of middle
school students. The Economy Force Sensor can mount on a PASCO Dynamics
Cart. Ideal for measuring force in one-axis experiments.
Typical Applications:
· Measure force exerted by an oscillating mass
· Measure force during elastic and inelastic collisions
· and more!
Specifications:
· Force Range -50 to +50 N
· Resolution 0.03 N or 3.1 grams
· Zero (Tare) Function push button
· Force-overload Protection mechanical stop prevents forces of more than 50 N from damaging the sen sor
· Pin Configuration 8-pin DIN plug
· Support Rods mounts on standard 12.4 mm support rods
