Micropore tape by 3M is a highly breathable, paper-like adhesive tape which is used in mycology to regulate air exchange and to provide basic filtration from contamination on both grain spawn lids and BRF style grows.

Micropore tape is used extensively in medical settings and also finds use in ‘monotub’ type grows to control air exchange during the grow and also to provide basic filtration for grain spawn jars (though we do not encourage this practise).

With an adhesive strength similar to that of masking tape, Micropore tape is handy to have around the lab as it’s autoclavable, white in colour, easy to write on and you can also add as many layers as needed to control airflow.
