For sale is an antique primitive wooden screw / worm gear / carpenter's vice tool.  This item is beautifully carved and probably made of maple being so smooth grained. It has a polished well worn surface throughout and looks great as a primitive display.  A great piece for a collector of old antique tools too.  The screw and block still turn and move up and down smoothly.  The hole in the top presumably had a leverage handle place through in order to turn it.  It can stand upright on a flat surface.  There is a crack down the screw, but it is solid and not loose at all.  Please check photos for detailed condition.

It measures about 26 " tall and the block is 7" wide.  Probably 19th century or earlier.
