Description

Up for bids is a vintage King's Control-O-Plane manufactured by King Industries in North Muskegon, Michigan. The plane appears to have seen very little if any previous use. Included are two box papers (instructions) and the the original cardboard storage tube. Used for big water trolling for salmon and lake trout in the 1960's on Lake Michigan. I was informed that this was designed by Jack King of North Muskegon, Michigan and was a fore runner of the Mac-Jac and Cannon down-riggers which were also made in Muskegon. The Control-O-Plane was apparently only made for around a year before better designs came along making this item a rare piece of big lake fishing. If you collect vintage fishing gear this may make great addition to your collection. Please see the photographs to determine exactly what you will receive.
