Rare early 20th century painting on leather of famous Chief wolf robe the sitter who's portrait Graces the buffalo nickel. This fantastic painted done on leather with a fringe only a couple of Fringe pieces have damage we've included a second similarly shaped tasseled piece of leather that would have originally had another painting which has now been lost that is included in case you want to replace or repair any of the fringe on this painting. This wonderful painting of a very famous Native American Chief was done between 1905 and 1910 Chief Wolf Road became quite popular after the introduction of the buffalo nickel and he was attending a few of the world's fairs at the time.
