Putnam, USA, 1955 Book Club first edition hardback with dustwrapper.

The usual trick has been applied of clipping the dustwrapper to remove the Book Club wording to the inner flap, however, the brown boards and lack of Library of Congress catalogue number to copyright page are the giveaways.

Dustwrapper is broadly complete and mostly clean and tidy. Unsunned. Some peripheral wear, nicks and closed tears, some repaired with archival tape to underside. Head and foot of spine with loss and whitening creasing. A few whitening scrapes to spine.  A few dark marks to rear panel.

Bokk itself fairly neat and tidy, internally clean and unmarked. Page edges retain good colouration for age with just a fraction of tanning.
