1. Floating seal
Floating seal consist of two same metal steel rings and two same rubber o rings. The working principle is a pair of metal rings supported by a pair of rubber rings to form a closed space with the cavity.
When running, the after-grinding seal surface of the two metal rings act in close coordination and sliding relatively.
On the one hand, to ensure good operation, on the other hand, to cut off the outside dust, water, rocks, gravel etc., and protect the inside grease or oil from leaking. The product types include DO style, DF style and XY style.
The sealing principle of floating oil seal is as follows:
two floating rings are deformed by axial compression of o-ring seal to produce the compression force on the sealing face of floating ring.
With the uniform wear of the sealing surface, the elastic energy stored by the o-ring is gradually released, thus playing the role of axial compensation.
The sealing surface can keep good fit in the set time, the general sealing life is above 4000h.
2. Material:
The material of metal ring is usually alloy cast iron and forged steel, hardness is 58-72 HRC. The material of rubber ring is commonly NBR, but we also can provide other rubber materials such as HNBR, silicone, FKM.
3. Application:
