Sanken Rock is a Japanese manga by Boichi. It was serialized in Young King (Shonen Gahosha) from issue #10 in 2006 to issue #6 in 2016. There are 25 volumes in the series.

Synopsis.

The main character, Ken Kitano, lost his family at an early age, and by the time he was 16 years old, he was in a fight, and was in a rough spot. He falls in love with his classmate Yumi Yoshizawa (Yumi Yoshizawa, Korean name: Yumin) and confesses his love to her, but is rejected when she reveals, “Actually, I am Korean and will become a policeman in Korea.

After that, Ken has a rough time of it, but a year later he sees Yumi on TV, who actually became a police officer in Korea, and decides that he too will become a police officer in Korea. He drops out of high school and moves to Korea, but no company, let alone the police, will hire him as a high school dropout and a Japanese national.

After protecting an old man at a food stall, who was kind to Ken when he was at a loss, from local gondals[1], he was scouted by another gondal. Ken, who came to Korea to become a policeman, naturally refuses the offer, but when Yumin tells him that he has been recruited by a Korean video game company, he agrees to become the boss of this gondal for a salary of 20 million won[2] a year in order to get a job. Thus begins Ken's days as a gangster.
